Hey, how u doing bloggers??

Hmm, thanks Axle, that's a lovely slobbery kiss. Notice how I'm keeping my mouth firmy close. Just what you need on a winter's day.

Did you spot me out and about? No, well I have actually been on a little outing into the capital of Switzerland. Do you know what that is? Of course you do, it's Bern, correct!  Are you sure you didn't see me, looking a little soggy in the rain.

Myself and my son had to take a trip there, to do an exam: not me, him. We had to get up at 5.a.m. My teenage son had a face on that 'could make grown men drown themselves' at that time in the morning. We had to follow a map to find the examination hall. But it was dark and sleeting and very wet. So that soon the map's ink began to splodge onto itself and we ended up going round in circles in the dark for a while.

More importantly though: I did find where they sell chocolate hedgehogs: just in case you ever wanted one!

Chocolate Hedgehogs

Aren't they cute? I took this photo from outside the cake-shop window. No idea what was inside the hedgehogs. Then, I went to a shop that was full of just chocolate: all kinds of chocolate from Switzerland. On the counter they had these great slabs of chocolate, some with bits in, white chocolate and milk etc, from which they broke a piece to weigh. Guess which I had? Do you remember those cornflake chocolate cakes you used to make as a child? Well, there was a whole slab of that: milk chocolate with cornflakes running through it. Except that the chocolate was gorgeous Swiss chocolate. Sorry, am I making you drool?

The shops were great in Berne, and of course the sales were on. Only the weather let it all down. It pissed down most of the day. But actually, no weather is bad weather if you are an artist, is it? I took lots of photos of rushed commuters and various groups of people gossiping and clutching umbrellas.  Food, for a few city paintings to come I think. So watch out, if you like that kind of painting. It's great to have some fresh inspiration for my artwork.

I love rainy paintings, too. I love doing those reflections. The people looked so 'French' too. Except of course, they weren't. Unfortunately ( unlike where we live) everyone spoke German. So I didn't understand a bloody word. It was very 'fo, gun, rra, ta, fun' if you know what I mean. I just had to speak English and hope for the  best. They were very friendly and tolerant luckily. I managed to buy many items using my husband's tried and tested method of pointing and putting up the correct amount of fingers. It's so sophisticated!

Ooo, must just tell you that my lovely painting 'Under The Moon' is up for sale on www.boundlessgallery.com now. It's a big-un about 15 by 34 inches, in three stretched canvases. Come have a look anytime.

Hey, it's a good thing I do copyright all my work, because I've seen my paintings all over the web now, some on chat or discussion sites, or their own web-page. It's surprising, where I crop up! Hee hee.
